Maplewoodshop was founded by Mike Schloff in 2016 to help children develop life skills such as creativity, grit, teamwork, and problem-solving by doing woodworking with hand tools. Schloff, a passionate woodworker and former digital marketer, is committed to empowering and educating kids, “Maplewoodshop exists to help kids develop powerful life skills; we happen to use wood because it’s a great medium.” Several special education schools use the Maplewoodshop program for occupational therapy and to teach practical skills.
Event tailored for children with special needs. Space is limited. The event is free.
Parents required to stay for the duration of the event.
